Kamon is a family emblem in Japan, which was used to indicate one's own family history, blood line, lineage and standing from ancient times. There are more than three hundered and fifty family emblems, their designs derived from patterns drawn from natural phenomena like the sun, stars, mountains, rivers and clouds, and from patterns referring to plants and animals, design patterns, tools and structures.		By editing, redesigning and/ or collaging Kamon without hurting intrinsic simple, traditionally beautiful and universal designs of kamon, contemporary creators create new values and expressions and contemporarily express them as artworks.
